Omos is the biggest wrestler on the WWE roster, but his run on “WWE Raw” juggled him between several storylines. Neither being AJ Styles’ enforcer nor being managed by MVP allowed Omos to properly establish himself, leading to his disappearance from television.
Today, Omos is almost exclusively wrestling in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, where many consider him to be significantly better booked. In an interview with “MuscleManMalcolm,” Omos commented on working with AAA booker Mark “The Undertaker” Calaway.
“I mean, to work with the Undertaker has been a dream, you know?” he said. Omos explained that when he first started his career with WWE, he missed the chance to get into the ring with Calaway since the veteran was “already on his way out.”
“The amount of knowledge I’m soaking up from him has been nothing but transformative,” he added. “He’s the man. He’s my guy. I am super stoked by the Undertaker. I can speak about him for days, yeah, he’s the man.” Omos expressed that working underneath Calaway’s guidance has been “a treat.”
Omos also contrasted working in Mexico compared to America, specifically noting how different the crowds are in AAA. “I’ve had the privilege of wrestling in Japan and wrestling in Mexico, it’s — the crowd is just electric, I can’t explain it,” he noted, adding that it doesn’t matter what city he goes to in Mexico, every crowd is amazing.
