Erin Blanchfield is out of her fight against Jasmine Jasudavicius at UFC 330.
MMA Fighting’s Damon Martin confirmed with sources with knowledge of the change that Blanchfield has been forced to withdraw due to a minor injury from the key flyweight bout that was scheduled to take place in Philadelphia. The news was first reported by MMA Junkie.
As of now, officials are potentially looking to re-book Blanchfield vs. Jasudavicius for another event. The matchup had legitimate contender stakes with Blanchfield currently ranked No. 4 at 125 pounds in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings, and Jasudavicius at No. 10.
Blanchfield is coming off of back-to-back victories over Tracy Cortez and Rose Namajunas after rebounding from her first UFC defeat, a unanimous decision loss to Manon Fiorot. Prior to that setback, “Cold Blooded” was 6-0 in the UFC.
Jasudavicius has won six of her past seven fights, most recently earning a unanimous decision nod over Karine Silva at UFC Winnipeg this past April.
