Maccabi Tel Aviv is the winner of the Israeli Super Cup for this season, having defeated Hapoel Tel Aviv with a score of 101-83.
For both teams, it was the first official match of the season, just seven days before the start of the EuroLeague, and Oded Kattash’s team outplayed their opponent and easily secured the victory.
Roman Sorkin scored 16 points, Bonzie Colson 13, as did Yam Madar along with seven assists against his former club, while Iffe Lundberg and TJ Leaf added 11 each. On the other side, Vasilije Micic recorded 17 points, Dan Oturu 13, and Khadeem Carrington scored 11 points.
From the very start, Maccabi was in the lead, and they sealed the game with a 17-2 run in the third quarter, after which they pulled away to a significant 75-48 and ultimately maintained their advantage.
Both teams will begin their EuroLeague season on September 24th. Maccabi will play away against ASVEL, while Hapoel will host Bayern.
