Thekla defeated Willow Nightingale, thanks to some help from her Triangle of Madness stablemates, at AEW All Out 2026. The “Toxic Spider” will challenge Mercedes Mone for the AEW Women’s World Championship at WrestleDream.
The women started out the bout with some fast-paced offense. Thekla dodged a powerbomb into a roll-up and they traded pin attempts back-and-forth. Nightingale almost pounced Thekla right out of the ring. Thekla started targeting the broken hand of Nightingale, first with a hold around the ropes. She continued to target her fingers while Nightingale had her up for a powerbomb that she couldn’t follow through with.
Nightingale rallied and downed Thekla with a dropkick from the second rope. She hit a powerbomb from the Texas Cloverleaf, paying homage to the late “Butcher” Andy Williams. She looked for a moonsault, but Thekla got out of the ring, so Nightingale hit a cannonball instead. Thekla got herself to the top and hit a cross body to Nightingale on the floor.
Nightingale avoided Thekla’s stomp and got her up for a Death Valley Driver. Thekla delivered a stomp to Nightingale’s hand from the second rope. She followed up with a spear, but Nightingale bridged out of the pin, hitting Thekla’s spider pose to go face-to-face with her. Nightingale downed them both with a lariat off the middle rope.
Julia Hart ran down with her Artist of Stardom Championship in hand to distract the referee on one side of the ring. On the other, Skye Blue hit Nightingale with her belt. Hart accidentally hit Thekla with the gold, and Nightingale took out both of the Sisters of Sin before attempting to pin Thekla to no avail. Nightingale couldn’t get Thekla up for another powerbomb, and Thekla stomped her hand, then delivered another to the back of her neck for the win.
