Turkey National Team will continue its journey in the FIBA 2027 World Cup Qualifiers this summer.
Having won their first four group matches, Turkey will complete the first round of the qualifiers with two matches in July.
Meanwhile, the candidate squad for the matches in July has been officially announced. Alperen Sengun and Adem Bona, two Turkish players in NBA, have been included in the announced candidate squad.
Tarık Biberovic and Malachi Flynn, two naturalized players, are also in the candidate squad. However, Shane Larkin was not included in the candidate squad.
Turkish NT squad: Adem Bona, Alperen Sengun, Berk Ugurlu, Cedi Osman, Emre Tunca, Ercan Osmani, Erkan Yılmaz, Furkan Korkmaz, Kenan Sipahi, Malachi Flynn, Onuralp Bitim, Omer Faruk Yurtseven, Sertac Sanlı, Sehmus Hazer, Tarık Biberovic, Yigit Arslan, Yigit Onan, Yigitcan Saybir.
Turkey will face Bosnia and Herzegovina away in their 5th match in Group C on July 2. After that, they will host Switzerland in the last match of the first round of the qualifiers on the evening of July 6.
Continuing their path with four wins out of four in the group, Turkey have secured the advancemenent with two matches to go. However, the results from the first round will carry over to the second round, so the outcomes of the remaining two matches are important.
