Dana White’s latest comments about Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury may have explained why the fight still has no official venue despite the agreement being signed months ago.

“I think you can see publicly lots of games being played, lots of ego involved and things like that. The answer to the question is: you go wherever the money is,” said Dana to The MacLife. That’s the answer. Where’s the money? Go where the money is. I think you can see where all the delay is coming from. I don’t think it’s a big secret where the delay is coming from. It’s all playing out.”

White never identified who he believes is behind those tactics. Eddie Hearn’s recent comments about the contract offer one possible explanation.

Hearn has repeatedly explained that Joshua insisted the fight take place in England, with the signed agreement reflecting that demand. He has also stated that moving the event outside the country requires Joshua’s approval because the venue clause was deliberately negotiated into the contract.

That public stance works in Hearn’s favor regardless of where the fight lands. If Joshua and Fury box at Wembley Stadium, Hearn can point to Joshua’s long-standing wish to keep Britain’s biggest heavyweight fight at home. If the event shifts to New York or another international site, he can argue the financial offer became too good to reject.

Those public comments fit White’s description of “games” playing out in full view. Hearn continues emphasizing the England clause, while reports linking Madison Square Garden and other international venues keep attention on negotiations and the possibility of a richer overseas deal.

None of that guarantees where Joshua and Fury will fight. It does help explain why the announcement has taken so long. Hearn has publicly strengthened Joshua’s negotiating position before any venue change. White believes everyone can already see those negotiations unfolding in real time. Until one side decides the financial reward outweighs the leverage, the venue announcement will remain on hold.
