“WWE NXT” star Mason Rook is not medically cleared to compete in his NXT Championship match against Grayson Waller Tuesday night, but the champion will still be defending his gold.
Emily Agard broke the news in a video posted to the “NXT” X (formerly Twitter) account just after 5 p.m. EST. Both Agard’s video and the post urged fans to stay tuned to WWE’s social media for any further updates. It wasn’t immediately clear if Rook was actually injured, or he’s just not medically cleared in storyline.
Rook and Waller went face-to-face in a promo battle last week to end the episode of “NXT.”...
