The 2026 Dusty Rhodes Classic continued with two more teams advancing to the second round during “WWE NXT.”
The first match saw Birthright’s Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Uriah Connors taking on Mini Vikingo and “Starboy” Chazz Hall. Vikingo and Hall experienced an early flurry and advantage before they were finally grounded and isolated by the underhanded tactics of Birthright.
From there, Lorenzo and Connors took turns working over Hall on their half of the ring. Hall tried to fight the pair of them off, struggling at first but eventually dropping them with a double Pele kick and getting the tag to Vikingo at long last.
Vikingo rallied against the pair of Connors and Lorenzo, landing a Spanish Fly to Lorenzo for a near-fall. Hall also looked to have the match won later on Connors, but Lorenzo broke the fall just in time. He tagged back in and himself looked to win the match with a cover on Hall, but Vikingo took flight with a springboard to break it. Thus ensued a striking exchange between each man in the middle of the ring.
The closing stretch saw Hall spike Lorenzo with a tornado DDT after Vikingo snuck a tag in, following up with a phoenix splash for the winning pinfall.
The second match had FrAxiom facing DarkState’s Osiris Griffin and Cutler James. DarkState spent much of the early stages dominating over Nathan Frazer, with Axiom tagging in but then suffering the same fate. They eventually found an opening and worked together with their faster paced offense, capped off with Axiom hitting a Spanish Fly to James, followed then by a splash from Frazer to get the winning pinfall.
Vikingo and Hall will now take on Vanity Project’s Ricky Smokes and Chad Baylor in round two, while will face Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno. Vanity Project received a bye to the next round.
