When Alexa Bliss slowly twisted back into a dark character shortly after Bray Wyatt returned to WWE, she was paired with The Fiend before the angle was dropped due to her real-life medical issues and maternity leave. Sadly, Bliss was still on maternity leave when Wyatt suddenly passed away, but with the debut of the Wyatt Sicks, everyone believed she’d be involved with the faction when she returned as her darker persona.
“It was talked about,” Joe Gacy revealed during an interview with Denise Salcedo. According to Gacy, Bliss joining the Wyatt Sicks was brought up during their first meeting at WWE Headquarters, here it was claimed that she’d join the group once she was ready to come back from maternity leave. “I just assumed like, okay, eventually she’s going to be with us. And my whole thing was always, when she comes back, we definitely – whether she’s with us or she’s not with us – we definitely need to address it.”
Gacy added that several meetings were held at some point which Bliss attended, and that she even pitched ideas that never materialized.
“I just thought it was a little silly that you have her on the show, you know, wearing the same gear, having odes to [Wyatt] and the Wyatt family, and sometimes we’re immediately after her!” he added, describing it as a huge missed opportunity.
He then recalled a thought he and Dexter Lumis brainstormed on, where there would’ve been a split in the Wyatt Sicks with Gacy becoming the new Uncle Howdy figure during Bo Dallas’ injury, and the two of them with Cross feuding against Bliss, Dallas, and Erick Rowan.
