Aline Pereira will get a chance to join her brother Alex Pereira in the UFC roster on Oct. 13, when she faces off with Smilla Sundell for a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in Las Vegas.
MMA Fighting confirmed the news following a report from Leo Guimaraes.
Pereira, who turns 36 a week before the fight, is on a successful run in MMA and Karate Combat since 2024, scoring a pair of knockouts and then winning the Karate Combat title this past year.
The younger sister of the former two-division UFC champion returned to MMA after that, following it up with back-to-back decisions over Nejra Repp and Jade Masson-Wong in LFA and MVP, respectively, to bring her MMA record to 3-2.
Sundell also comes from a striking background, competing five times under the ONE Championship banner to win and defend the muay Thai flyweight title, and also win in her sole kickboxing bout for the Asian promotion.
Sundell made the move to MMA earlier this year, going 2-0 in Tuff-N-Uff with knockouts over Miranda Barber and Maya Stewart.
