Dana White says boxing has lost ground in the United States over the past 20 years, and a stadium event built around Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua does little to address that concern. Their rivalry can still sell tickets without restoring the sport’s wider American appeal.
White will also miss today’s Fury–Joshua press conference. With his involvement already disputed, that absence provides another talking point, although he attributed it to his Contender Series commitments.
“I would have been there if I didn’t have the contender,” White said when asked whether he would attend.
