With rival Kendal Grey still on the shelf, and Wren Sinclair suspended in storyline, it was revealed on Tuesday’s edition of “WWE NXT” that Kelani Jordan’s next challenger for the title will be determined in a 20-woman battle royal next week. The winner will face off with Jordan at Halloween Havoc.
Jordan was cutting a promo in the ring when “NXT” General Manager Robert Stone interrupted her to say that the “women’s division would determine her next opponent.” He revealed that would happen in the battle royal, which will feature not only “NXT” talent, but main roster stars, as well as women from “WWE EVOLVE,” and TNA.
Stone could barely finish his announcement before the champion was attacked by Reina Volcano, who returned to “NXT” last week to blindside Kali Armstrong. Volcano told the camera at ringside that she’d be in the battle royal next week, but as of this writing, no other women were officially announced for the match.
