The ONE lightweight title goes up for grabs at ONE The Inner Circle 37 when champion Christian Lee defends his belt against grappling sensation Tye Ruotolo.
The fight takes place on Nov. 6 at Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand with the full card still to be announced. ONE officials confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting on Monday.
A longstanding member of the ONE roster, Lee has conquered multiple divisions during his career and now he’ll look to add yet another title defense to his resume. Most recently, Lee scored a TKO win over Alibeg Rasulov to defend his lightweight title this past November.
As for Ruotolo, the 23-year-old fighter and his brother Kade conquered the grappling world before making the move into MMA. So far, Ruotolo sports a 2-0 record in MMA with both of his wins coming in ONE Championship.
Now he’ll take a decided step up in competition to face Lee for the lightweight title at ONE The Inner Circle 37.
