Bruno Fernando is the newest member of Anadolu Efes, as the club officially announced.
Despite talks with Maccabi Tel Aviv, Fernando picked Efes with a two-year contract.
Per the EuroLeague press release: Fernando (2.08 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, where he averaged 8.4 points on 62.7% two-point shooting and 4.4 rebounds in 32 EuroLeague games last season.
He started the 2025-26 campaign with Real Madrid, averaging 4.4 points on 66.7% two-point shooting and 3.4 rebounds in 5 games before joining Partizan. Fernando took part in 12 games in the 2024-25 season, including three in Los Blancos’ playoff series against Olympiacos Piraeus.
Before joining Madrid, Fernando had spent his entire professional career in the NBA. He spent parts of six seasons with the Atlanta Hawks (2019-21 and 2023-24), Boston Celtics (2021-22), Houston Rockets (2022-23), and Toronto Raptors (2024-25).
His best season came in 2023-24, when Fernando posted 6.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 45 games with Atlanta. He is also a member of the Angolan national team, and helped it win a gold medal at AfroBasket 2025. Fernando won another gold medal with Angola at the 2016 U18 African Championships.
