Kamaru Usman believes Brock Lesnar would defeat Jon Jones in a wrestling match if they were to compete at an RAF event, and the former two-division UFC champ disagrees.
On his podcast with Henry Cejudo, Usman was asked how a matchup between the two stars would go. While Cejudo went with Jones, Usman went the other way.
“This is a tough one, I would have to go with Brock, even though I think Jon is probably going to be a little bit more offensive,” Usman said. “I just think those limbs, shooting underneath a guy as big as Brock Lesnar, trying to get him down… he could stay in his stance, and he could hand fight — which at heavyweight definitely weighs a guy down.”
Of course, Jones found the clip on social media and responded as you would expect.
“I’m getting my hand raised against you and Brock at the same time,” Jones said to Usman.
Jones has flip-flopped on whether or not he’s retired from mixed martial arts competition after vacating the UFC heavyweight title this past June. After President Donald Trump revealed he wanted to host an event on the White House lawn, Jones put himself back in the UFC’s drug-testing pool — despite Dana White saying multiple times he would not allow Jones to compete on the card.
Lesnar, a former UFC heavyweight champion, signaled he was retiring from WWE after losing to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42.
