Turki Alalshikh shared a photo on social media showing Dana White and WWE president Nick Khan presenting him with a black and silver belt marked “Zuffa Boxing Champion,” decorated with diamonds. White and Khan stood on either side of Turki as he held the belt across his hands, presenting it as a formal introduction to the project’s championship identity.

“Today I am happy, I met with my brothers Dana and Nick in Las Vegas, and they gifted me the first Zuffa Boxing belt,” Turki wrote. “This is a huge start for Zuffa, and only the very best will be lucky enough to win this belt.”

Independent Title System Emerging

The decision to create a proprietary championship belt signals structural intent. Instead of promoting fights solely for existing sanctioning body titles, Zuffa Boxing now has the option to crown its own champions, giving the organization control over its rankings, title fights, and championship recognition.

White followed the same model when building the UFC, which established its own belts and championship system independent of boxing’s traditional governing bodies. That structure allowed the UFC to determine its champions without relying on outside sanctioning approval, eventually becoming the sport’s primary authority.

Turki’s involvement places Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season at the center of the new venture’s power structure. His role in receiving the belt publicly reinforces his position as the financial and strategic driver behind Zuffa Boxing’s expansion into the sport.

No fights have yet been announced under the Zuffa Boxing banner, but the belt’s presentation shows the project has moved beyond discussion into visible execution. The creation of a championship symbol is a necessary step before title fights can be organized, suggesting the promotion is preparing to establish its own hierarchy once events are finalized.

Logistics regarding Zuffa Boxing’s first official event, weight divisions, and championship schedules have not been confirmed.
