Wurzburg secured a spot in the Round of 16 phase of the FIBA Basketball Champions League by easily defeating Levice at home with a score of 92-71.
Marcus Carr had a great game for the home team, finishing the clash with 17 points and 11 assists. Eddy Edigin added 14, and interestingly, Wurzburg finished the game with as many as seven players scoring in double figures.
On the other side, Rickey McGill and Andre Wesson were, as usual, the best with 20 points each, while Akol Mawien also scored in double figures with 11 points.
Levice won the first game in the series, but fell easily in the next two. After a tied first half, the decisive moment was the third quarter, which Wurzburg won 32-12, thus advancing to the next round.
In the next phase, Wurzburg will play in Group K with Joventut Badalona, Unicaja, and Elan Chalon.
