Blood Diamond (real name Mike Mathetha) scored a brutal knockout on Saturday after he floored a mid-air opponent attempting to go for a flying kick.
The finish happened at SFL 4 on Saturday in New Zealand in the main event.
As Elano Andrade decided to jump into the air in an attempt to catch Blood Diamond off guard, the exact opposite happened. The three-time UFC veteran threw a perfectly timed counter left hand that blasted Andrade and sent him crashing to the canvas in a heap.
The fight was stopped just a second later as Andrade was clearly done and Blood Diamond casually turned and walked away.
After joining the UFC roster following a 4-1 start to his career, Blood Diamond struggled to find that same level of success in the octagon. He suffered a submission loss to Jeremiah Wells in his debut and then dropped back-to-back decisions to Orion Cosce and Charles Radtke.
That led his release from the UFC and his losing streak continued with two more losses before he finally got back on track this past November with a knockout win of his own. Blood Diamond made it two in a row with his vicious knockout over Andrade on Saturday in New Zealand.
