This is the UFC White House live blog for Bo Nickal vs. Kyle Daukaus, the main card middleweight bout Sunday at the White House in Washington, D.C.

Nickal (8-1) is still looking to prove he’s a legitimate contender after being touted as one of the most promising prospects in MMA when he made his amateur debut in 2021. The 30-year-old earned that buzz following a spectacular collegiate wrestling career in which he won three national titles. After suffering his first pro loss to Reinier de Ridder, Nickal bounced back with a highlight-reel head kick knockout of Rodolfo Vieira at UFC 322.

It’s on Daukaus (17-4, 1 NC) to play the spoiler. “The D’Arce Knight” is in his second stint with the UFC having parted ways with the promotion in 2022 and then putting together four straight wins to land a short-notice opportunity against Michel Pereira at UFC Shanghai this past August. He knocked Pereira out in 43 seconds and followed that up with a 50-second submission win over Gerald Meerschaert at UFC 322, which led to him getting the call to face Nickal.

Lopes vs. Garcia was as fun as advertised, and not it’s time for Nickal and Daukaus to face off in a fight that will definitely guarantee the first win for the United States.

Daukaus, who not long ago was cut from the UFC after back-to-back losses, is now inside the octagon on the south lawn of the White House. Crazy! And now Nickal makes his way to the cage.
