Mikey Musumeci successfully defended his UFC BJJ bantamweight title for the third time in the main event of UFC BJJ 8 and called for a match with UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan next.

Tsarukyan is currently scheduled to wrestle Keelon Jimisonon May 30 and then Tony Ferguson on June 13, both under the RAF banner.
“I expect to compete with Arman next, hopefully at the end of August,” Musumeci said. “I just hope I don’t have any infections then but yeah, that should be really cool.”
Musumeci revealed on his social media on Friday morning he was dealing with “a very bad staph infection in my leg” and wasn’t sure he would be able to enter the bowl to compete, saying he “barely could warmup how dead I was.” He still managed to go through and win in just over two minutes.
