Jan Blachowicz is back.

The former UFC light heavyweight champion competes for the first time since July 2023 when he takes on Carlos Ulberg at UFC London on March 22 at O2 Arena. Blachowicz vs. Ulberg was officially announced Tuesday.

When Blachowicz (29-10-1) most recently competed, it was against future champion Alex Pereira at UFC 291. Blachowicz proved to be a stiff challenge for “Poatan,” with the Brazilian striker edging out a split decision. It was a tough break for Blachowicz, who is just 1-2-1 in his past four outings.

He is now tasked with slowing the surging Ulberg (11-1). The New Zealand kickboxer fell short in his UFC debut in 2021, but has since run off seven straight wins, including a decision nod over Volkan Oezdemir this past November.

The UFC also announced a heavyweight bout for their return to London, as veteran Marcin Tybura (26-9) takes on the undefeated Mick Parkin (10-0). Tybura is coming off of a win over Jhonata Diniz at UFC 309, while Parkin looks to capitalize on two wins in 2024 that kept him undefeated and improved his record inside the octagon to 4-0.

UFC Europe is yet to have a headlining bout announced for the card.
