THOMAS TUCHEL has ‘concerns’ over calling up Mason Mount as the countdown to the World Cup begins.
That’s according to the Daily Mail who report that conversations surrounding the England camp and Manchester United have given off a feeling that a call-up is ‘highly unlikely’.
They state that the Three Lions boss – no matter how impressive the form of Mount is – is not expected to look in the direction of the former Chelsea man between now and the finals next summer.
The duo worked together at Stamford Bridge but the same report states that the German has ‘reservations’ over the impact Mount could have on the group, due in part to club boss Ruben Amorim.
They claim that comes down to the different style that the United boss plays from the national team boss.
The publication state that Tuchel was ‘very warm’ to Mount and colleague Luke Shaw during a long chat in the tunnel after the recent clash with Everton.

A host of big names will be aiming to put in impressive displays between now and the summer in order to land a seat on the plane.
As per the norm, one or two always make a late burst – but it is believed Mount will need to seriously impress to banish any concerns.
England have now discovered who they will face as they bid for World Cup glory.
They have been placed in Group L alongside Croatia, Ghana and Panama.
England are out to end a 60 years of hurt as they look to add to that last success back in 1966.
But in order to do so, they will need to overcome a horror knockout route.
England will play one of Ivory Coast, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Algeria or Uzbekistan in the last-32.
The last-16 could be Mexico, the quarter-final Brazil, followed by Argentina in the semis and then a potential showdown with Spain in the final.
