CALLUM O’HARE and Michael Cooper loved getting the Blades out to give Sheffield United fans a free trim.
There were queues outside city-centre barbers TaylorTaylor to get their hair cut by their Bramall Lane heroes.
The event, organised by club sponsors Midnite, was to help fans look fresh for the new year as their team aims to be a cut above in 2026.
Midfielder O’Hare and keeper Cooper were restricted to those who wanted a short back and sides with the clippers — letting the experts do the proper work.
O’Hare said: “It was great fun. I’ve had various haircuts over the years and think mine nowadays is pretty good.
“Between the ages of five and 13 I had a mohawk — completely shaved on the sides and spiking it up in the sky.

“I’d dye it if there was a big game. I remember once playing in a final for my local under-16s and because our kit was dark blue would dye it blue. That was a bit mad!”
O’Hare believes his team-mate Cooper has the best hairstyle out of all his team-mates.
He said: “Coops is probably the best. He gets a taper and keeps it a bit long on top.
“But my favourite of all-time was Cristiano Ronaldo’s zig-zag at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. That was iconic.”
Yet the midfield ace also revealed who he thinks has the worst — and would love to take the clippers to.
O’Hare laughed: “Tom Davies is growing his hair back out because he had gone short.
“It looks so messy right now and definitely needs tidying up.”
Lifelong fan Jordan Smith said: “This was a great way to give something back to the fans. I got a much-needed haircut and met some first-team players. It was a great afternoon.”
Barbershop owner Nick Taylor is a massive Sheffield United fan and said: “It was great to see Callum and Michael getting involved and cutting some hair. It was brilliant to see.
“We’re a family-run business that’s been going 120 years and I’m the third generation. It was wonderful to be involved in this.”
O’Hare is glad to see the back of 2025.
Although the Blades managed to amass 92 points last season — which has only once failed to be enough for automatic promotion — they heartbreakingly lost the play-off final to Sunderland at Wembley.
And then the club owners sacked Chris Wilder to replace him with Ruben Selles, who himself was axed after losing the first six games.
Wilder returned and the Blades went into this weekend’s trip to Charlton aiming for a third Championship win on the bounce.
And O’Hare says the team are gunning to chase down a nine-point deficit and gatecrash the play-offs.
He said: “It was a year of ups and downs but ultimately a disappointing one.
“To get 92 points and not go up automatically was heartbreaking.
“Then to lose in the play-off final to Sunderland with almost the last kick of the game was devastating.
“You literally go home with the season done and as soon as your head hits the pillow you’re thinking, ‘What if Harrison Burrows’ goal wasn’t disallowed by VAR for 2-0?’ and ‘What if we didn’t concede that late goal.’ It plays on your mind.
“Then we’ve lost the manager, who we were all playing for because he’s a straight-talking Blades fan with so much passion for the club, and had to adapt to the new one. That took time and wasn’t easy.
“But since the gaffer has come back, it’s been great. We’re far more confident now and our aim is to get into the play-offs. We have the quality and belief we can get there.”
They will certainly want to make a fist of it… to avoid Wilder giving them the hairdryer!
