Haaland was speaking to TNT Sports after the game for their post-match coverage of the Champions League match.

The 25-year-old was asked by presenter Woods what sort of mood the City team were in as they approach the pivotal Premier League festive period.

But as he prepared to answer, Woods’ allegiance to Arsenal was revealed to him.

Haaland has been present for two Premier League titles at City which saw Pep Guardiola‘s team pip the Gunners to the title, by just five and two points.

The prolific Norwegian was seen smirking as the Arsenal link to Woods was highlighted.

Woods was heard saying: “Don’t tell him that.”

But Haaland couldn’t resist a dig towards the presenter which left her and her fellow pundits in stitches.

He joked: “So she probably don’t like me then.”

Across the two seasons Arsenal were the runner ups to City, Haaland bagged 36 and then 27 goals in the league to fire his side to lifting the title.

His exploits since arriving in England have included him scoring five goals and adding two assists in nine matches against the north London side.

That includes a goal in the 1-1 draw between the title rivals earlier this season.

Mikel Arteta‘s Arsenal side currently lead the league by two points from City after 15 games played.

City are on Arsenal’s tails after a run of five wins in their last six league games.

Meanwhile, in the same period Arsenal have dropped points with draws against Sunderland and ten-man Chelsea before losing to Aston Villa last weekend.

Woods had returned to broadcasting duties with TNT Sports for the first time after her terrifying collapse while covering England Women for ITV.

The 38-year-old, who became a new mum to baby boy Leo in January, gave her fans a scare last week when she suddenly collapsed on camera.

Ian Wright was giving his verdict on the upcoming friendly against Ghana when Woods suddenly fell forward, with Wright and fellow co-host Anita Asante attempting to catch her.

Woods then fell to the ground in the frightening scene before cameras cut away from the incident.

The coverage switched to a wide shot of the stadium, before ITV went to an extended ad break.

When the broadcast returned, Woods had been replaced by another presenter Katie Shanahan.

She addressed the concerning absence, saying: “As you might have noticed, we don’t have the wonderful Laura Woods.

“She has just been taken ill and is in very good hands. We want to assure you that she is doing ok. We all send her our love.”
