The fight changed dramatically in the sixth round when Mosley Jr. landed a hard right hand that dropped Bohachuk to the canvas. Bohachuk beat the count, but Mosley Jr. quickly jumped on him with a follow-up barrage along the ropes.

Referee Thomas Taylor stepped in and stopped the fight at 2:38 of Round 6 as Bohachuk struggled to defend himself under sustained punches.

Bohachuk entered the fight as the betting favorite and attempted to pressure Mosley Jr. with his usual aggressive style, but Mosley Jr. handled the pace better as the fight progressed and consistently found openings for counters and combinations.

By the sixth round, Bohachuk’s pressure and punch output had noticeably slowed compared to his earlier fights, allowing Mosley Jr. to land cleaner counters during exchanges. Mosley Jr. capitalized with a hard right hand that dropped Bohachuk before finishing strongly with sustained pressure along the ropes, leading to the stoppage.

Bohachuk continued pushing forward with pressure and volume, but his slower reactions left openings for Mosley Jr. to land counters and quick combinations before moving away from danger.

The loss continued a difficult stretch for Bohachuk following recent tough fights, while Mosley Jr. delivered the strongest performance of his recent career after coming off a unanimous decision loss to Jesus Ramos Jr. last December. It was the second defeat in the last three fights for Bohachuk.

After the victory, Mosley Jr. called out Callum Walsh, who competes under the Zuffa banner at junior middleweight.
