Robelis Despaigne is back on the UFC roster after winning eight matches in a row since parting ways with the promotion in 2024, his management team announced Friday.
The UFC has yet to announce a date and opponent for Despaigne’s first fight back in the octagon.
Despaigne joined Karate Combat shortly after leaving the UFC with decision defeats to Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Austen Lane, scoring six knockouts in seven wins in a span of 12 months in the company to claim the heavyweight belt.
The Cuban striker returned to MMA this past May to face former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos on the MVP MMA card in Inglewood, Calif., winning by knockout in under three minutes.
Despaigne re-joins the UFC with a MMA record of 6-2 and all wins coming by way of knockout, including an 18-second finish over Josh Parisian in his first octagon appearance back in 2024.
