Trey Lyles will not continue with Real Madrid. The Canadian, one of the team’s stars this season, bids farewell to the white team after just a few months in the Spanish capital.
The former NBA player arrived in style, taking on the role of a star and as a fundamental piece of Sergio Scariolo’s scheme during his stint in Madrid. The club has announced his departure:
“Real Madrid C.F. announces that Trey Lyles has concluded his time as a player for our club.
Real Madrid thanks him for his dedication, professionalism, and camaraderie throughout the season and wishes him and his family the best of luck in this new stage of their lives.”
Lyles averaged 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 46% from three-point range in the 42 EuroLeague games played this season, being crucial for Real Madrid reaching the Final Four in Athens.
