Barcelona and Joventut will play for the Spanish SuperCup title. The Badalona side comfortably defeated Kosner Baskonia, while Sekulic’s new-look Barça beat Valencia Basket in the second semifinal.

Barcelona won the semifinal match between the last two ACB finalists in the last second (86-87). Justin Robinson (17 points) and Joel Parra (12) led the victory that set up a title clash against the host team. Nebo was ejected for two unsportsmanlike fouls. Tosan Evbuomwan did not play. For Valencia Basket, Kam Taylor led the scoring with 23 points, followed by TJ Shorts (17).

The first half was evenly matched (40-43). Valencia tied the game (84-84) with 30 seconds remaining. Kevin Punter scored a crucial free throw to give Barça the win in the final second.

Joventut will fight for the title at home

The hosts Joventut easily defeated Kosner Baskonia (96-84) in the opening semifinal of the ACB Super Cup thanks to a big homecoming by Nico Laprovittola.

In his first official game after leaving Barcelona and returning to his old team, the Argentinian guard stole the show with 27 points and 10 assists. Baskonia fought until the end and got 19 points from Kobi Simmons.

AJ Lawson added 16; however, Baskonia despite trailing by give (87-82) entering the last three minutes, couldn’t complete a cameback and Joventut closed the game the right way.
