Persephone is riding high following her win at All In and now holds two titles, one in AEW and the other in CMLL, but the responsibility of holding both has made life a bit hectic for her.
The 25-year-old star has been a key fixture in both AEW and Mexican promotion CMLL, where she is the TBS Champion and CMLL World Women’s Champion. Holding two titles means she has to represent both companies, resulting in a demanding travel schedule that has made it difficult for her to appreciate her title wins fully.
“It feels great [to be a dual champion], but I don’t think it’s fully settled in. Like, I don’t think I’ve really sat with it yet because this dual contract is fantastic, but at the same time, it’s chaotic,” she said to “The Sportser.” “I landed Monday night [after All In] and I was wrestling in Arena Mexico Tuesday, and then I was flying out Wednesday morning for ‘Dynamite.’ I feel like I’m running back and forth from country to country, like from company to company. So I don’t know that I’ve actually had time to really digest it and sit with it. I feel like I’m always just running to the next event.”
Right after her match at All In, Persephone couldn’t soak in the moment of winning the AEW TBS title, as she was getting prepared to feature alongside Britt Baker, who had returned at the show.
“There’s not really too much time to digest it because I remember I came down and it wasn’t a matter of, like, let me rest, let me take off my boots. I remember they said, ‘You and Britt are going to have a moment to say whatever you all want to say.’ You know, because obviously it was Britt’s comeback,” she said.
The AEW TBS Champion finally got the chance to enjoy the moment, but it was a brief one, as she had an early morning flight back to Mexico for a tag team match in Arena Mexico.
