Nic Nemeth defeated Matt Hardy to retain the TNA World Championship during “TNA Impact.”

Nemeth was defending his title in a No Disqualification match after Hardy accused him of hospitalizing Jeff Hardy a couple of weeks ago.

Hardy took the fight immediately to Nemeth, taking the champion to ringside and pulling a table from beneath the ring. He continued to drive Nemeth into the ringpost, setting up the table against the apron. Then he put Nemeth through it with a suplex.

Hardy threw a steel chair into the ring and pulled out a second table, dispensing that in the ring before grabbing some more chairs, putting one in the ring and using the other to attack Nemeth’s mid-section. He went back and pulled out a third table and set that up on the outside of the ring.

Nemeth set up a table in the corner and looked to put Hardy through it, but wound up being driven into it instead. It did not break at the first impact, so Hardy drove him through it on the second time and delivered Twist of Fate, going for what was surely the winning cover.

Ryan Nemeth pulled the referee out of the ring to break the count, getting wiped out for his efforts. Hardy returned to the ring and delivered another Twist of Fate but Nemeth got his foot on the bottom rope. Hardy put Ryan Nemeth through the table on the outside before once again returning to the ring.

Nemeth hit a low blow and went for the cover, but Hardy kicked out at two. He then hit Hardy around the head with a wrench, knocking him down and making the cover for the winning pinfall.
