Monaco’s basketball squad finally received their December salaries last Friday, just before their EuroLeague clash against Baskonia, bringing relief after months of financial uncertainty, according to L’Equipe.
Most players were paid in full, reportedly via a third-party account, but Mike James remains unpaid for roughly €50,000, prompting frustration and critical social media posts.
The club, still struggling financially under owner Aleksej Fedorycsev, faces ongoing challenges with January salaries and other obligations.
The current management insists on retaining control until a court ruling on March 6 at the Monaco First Instance Tribunal decides the future of AS Monaco Basket.
