The entire Wyatt Sicks stable was released from WWE earlier this year, disappointing many fans who hoped to see them become a dominating stable and truly pay homage to Bray Wyatt. Today, the former Wyatt Sicks members are all trying to reestablish themselves, but Joseph Sawyer (Joe Gacy) and Sam Shaw (Dexter Lumis) might already be signed to TNA, according to reports.
In an episode of his “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, Matt Hardy commented on the rumors about Sawyer and Shaw’s signing, and expressed what he thinks about the former Wyatt Sicks members. “I think they’re all very talented individuals,” he said. “On top of playing these over-the-top characters, I also think they’re all very talented when it comes to being performers in the ring.” Hardy believes there could be a home for the stable in TNA, while stating he has no insider information about their possible arrival.
Hardy also concluded that the signings will have to be confirmed in time, before sharing how he’d like to see them presented in TNA. “For the majority of them, their biggest stardom was obviously doing the Wyatt Sicks. I would almost [want to see] some sort of hybrid,” he explained, opining that he’d like to see more of the “real person” behind each gimmick, while they still individually represent their Wyatt Sicks characters, albeit less supernatural. “Anybody who sees them and whenever they watch them on an indie show or whatever else, they’re gonna think about that Wyatt Sicks; they will forever be known for that.”
Recent episodes of “TNA Impact” have featured mystery attackers taking out figures including both Matt and Jeff Hardy, leading some to speculate that Sawyer and Shaw may be the culprits.
