Coming out of the renowned Upton Boxing Center, Lorenzo “Truck” Simpson started his pro career with thirteen consecutive victories. Back in August 2023, Simpson took a costly trip to Atlanta, as he suffered his first defeat by way of majority decision to Vladimir Hernandez.
Ten months later, Simpson made a return trip to Atlanta for another Overtime Boxing event, and he lost via controversial split-decision to Raiko Santana. Truck Simpson bounced back with a first-round stoppage victory over Trevon Smith.
In his next outing, Simpson suffered another setback, as he was outpointed by Jahi Tucker. Once again, Simpson took a moment to regroup, and then he bounced back with a second-round TKO victory over George Sosa.
Now Lorenzo “Truck” Simpson is ready to step into the ring in front of his hometown fans to face a dangerous opponent. His adversary for this event is the Colorado native Shawn McCalman.
Similar to Truck Simpson, Shawn McCalman started his pro career with fifteen consecutive victories. He came up short in two of his last four fights, as he lost to highly ranked Diego Pacheco and the undefeated Moreno Fendero.
Now Shawn McCalman has vowed to travel to Baltimore and bring the WBA Intercontinental strap back to Colorado. This match will be a challenging bout for both fighters.
The southpaw Lorenzo “Truck” Simpson is a boxer who has all the tools. His confidence is at an all-time high, and he believes all he has to do is stay focused, and his time to shine will be right here, right now.
Simpson knows the night of September 19th will be a true test. According to a recent post, challenging nights are now a personal requirement for Truck.
