LIV Golf action returns to UK shores this week when the 11th tournament of the league’s 14-tournament schedule tees off at JCB Golf & Country Club in Staffordshire from July 23-26.
The league is making its fifth visit overall to England, having played its inaugural tournament at Centurion Club in 2022 and then again in 2023, before moving to JCB in 2023.
Last year’s LIV Golf UK event attracted over 43,000 spectators over the course of the three-day tournament, and with this year’s event expanded to 72 holes over four days, attendance is set to grow even further for the final international event of the LIV Golf season before returning to the US for the closing three tournaments.
HOME-GROWN STARS ON SHOW
Fresh from competing at The Open Championship, English fans can look forward to seeing a host of major stars among the 57-player field, including Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton, while former Ryder Cup legends Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter and Paul Casey will also be in action on home soil.
Hatton has the best LIV Golf result of any English player on home soil, tying for second behind his Legion XIII captain Jon Rahm at JCB in 2024.
“Playing home events are always fun,” Hatton said. “Home fans in general, even if things aren’t going well, always support you. If you have a good moment, you get a good cheer – and that can put an extra spring in your step.”
The all-English Majesticks team are hoping to draw on their home support to turn around a disappointing 2026 campaign. They enter JCB in last place in the season-long team standings but would love to give their fans something to cheer for.
“I’m very much looking forward to returning to JCB,” said Majesticks Co-Captain Ian Poulter. “It’s become our home event and the fans always come out in force. We have an incredible fan village, incredible activations. We have the pub. It’s a special week.”
Fans can also watch the league’s cast list of international stars take on the challenging JCB course, including last year’s LIV Golf UK by JCB champion Joaquin Niemann and 2022 Open champion Cam Smith, and 2017 Masters champions Sergio Garcia.
In addition to the golfing action, Saturday night will see Chase & Status will take over JCB Golf & Country Club with an exclusive DJ set, bringing their iconic drum & bass sound and unmistakable energy to Staffordshire.
COURSE CHANGES
Designed by Robin Hiseman of European Golf Design, JCB’s championship course opened for play in 2018 and is open exclusively to staff and guests of tractor manufacturer JCB. The 7,332-yard course routing features a variety of landscapes, including open farmland, stately parkland, woodlands and spectacular lake lands.
The course has undergone several significant changes since last year, with the 6th hole, which has been the most difficult hole the previous two years of LIV Golf UK when it played as a par 4, now becomes a par 5, with the entire course now at par 72. The back tee at the 6th has been slightly pushed back and enlarged, with the hole extended to 509 yards. Other changes include new back tees on holes 5, 7, 10 and 14, with the par-4 7th now playing 24 yards longer at 494 yards, and the short 14th now playing up to 144 yards.
START TIMES, PARKING & TICKETING
Gates open at 10am throughout the tournament when festivities kick off in the Fan Village before the shotgun start at 1.15pm on each of the tournament days.
Fans with grounds passes can purchase a car park space which allows them to either walk or ‘Park & Ride’ to the course. The ‘Park & Ride’ service will be free of charge with no ticket or pre-booking needed. Shuttle buses will operate 30 minutes before the gates open and no less than one hour after gates close.
All event grounds passes and hospitality tickets for Saturday include access to the post-golf concert. Alternatively, fans can grab enhanced event experience or hospitality tickets. Children aged 12 and under go free when accompanied by a paying adult.
