Jermall Charlo’s scheduled return on next Saturday’s Errol Spence Jr. vs. Tim Tszyu undercard is in doubt after a reported visa delay left PBC and TGB officials uncertain he will arrive in Australia in time for the event.

Boxing insider Dan Rafael says PBC and TGB officials do not believe Charlo will receive the necessary visa before fight week. The former two-division world champion had been expected to travel to Australia earlier this week but has reportedly been delayed because of past legal issues.

Charlo (34-0, 23 KOs), was scheduled to face Koen Mazoudier in a 10-round bout at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. The fight was set to be his first appearance since stopping Thomas LaManna in six rounds on May 31, 2025, after nearly 18 months out of the ring.

With less than a week remaining before the card, the uncertainty leaves promoters with limited time to resolve the situation. If Charlo is unable to secure his visa, organizers would likely need to find a replacement opponent for Mazoudier or remove the bout from the card altogether.

The July 26 event is headlined by Tim Tszyu and Errol Spence Jr. in a 12-round middleweight bout, with the undercard featuring several Australia vs. United States matchups. Jermall’s return had been one of the featured attractions outside the main event, making his availability an important part of the promotion heading into fight week.

Neither PBC nor TGB had announced a change to the fight at the time of Rafael’s report.
