Jan Blachowicz and Bogdan Guskov are back on track for their rematch.
The UFC announced Friday that a bout between former light heavyweight champion Blachowicz (29-11-2) and Guskov (18-3-1) has officially been added to the upcoming UFC Belgrade event on Aug. 1 at Belgrade Arena in Serbia. Vestnik MMA was first to report the matchup.
Blachowicz and Guskov fought at UFC 323 this past December, but neither man walked out with the victory as the bout was declared a majority draw. One judge scored the fight 29-28 in Blachowicz’s favor, with the other two having it 28-28 due to Guskov earning a pair of 10-8 scores in Round 2. It was a disappointing ending for both fighters as Blachowicz has now gone winless (including two draws) in his past four outings dating back to 2022, while Guskov saw a four-fight win streak snapped.
Their rematch was originally scheduled to take place at UFC 328 in May, but Blachowicz was forced to withdraw after suffering a torn meniscus.
UFC Belgrade is headlined by a welterweight bout between Serbia’s own Uros Medic and the returning Daniel Rodriguez. This marks the promotion’s first-ever event in Serbia.
