CONTROVERSIAL EFL star James McClean fired a naughty gesture at rival fans in a fiery send-off from English football.

The Wrexham winger, 36, called time on his 15-year career in English football last week.

But he couldn’t help but slip in some more of his signature attitude towards visiting fans before his departure to hometown club Derry City.

McClean was in attendance as Wrexham hosted Leicester City in a Championship clash on Tuesday as he said his farewells to the ‘Hollywood‘ club and its fans.

Despite the disappointing draw due to a 90th minute equaliser from the Foxes’ Jannik Vestergaard, McClean took to the pitch for a lap of honour after full-time.

But between gestures of appreciation towards the Red Dragons faithful, McClean was seen giving Leicester supporters the middle finger.

The inflammatory gestures drew attention from across social media, where McClean doubled down on his sentiments in an Instagram story.

He wrote after the game: “Thank you for [the] send off Wrexham fans… been class.

“To all the away fans of the years, f*** you and good riddance.”

He added: “It’s been a laugh,” alongside a middle finger emoji and one sarcastically blowing a kiss.
