Turhan gives Jake Paul’s promotion another major piece at 135 pounds. Caroline Dubois holds the WBC and WBO championships, while Stephanie Han owns the WBA belt.
That leaves MVP working with fighters who control all four major lightweight titles.
Turhan punched her way into that company last December in Monte Carlo. She broke down Brazilian Olympic gold medalist Beatriz Ferreira and forced a fifth-round stoppage to seize the IBF crown, registering the defining victory of her professional career.
She has since strengthened her position with wins over Taylah Gentzen in January and Gabriella Tellez in June.
Turhan brings pressure and finishing instinct to a division loaded with potential championship fights. She likes to close the distance, force exchanges and punish opponents once her combinations begin finding the target.
The Istanbul fighter becomes the first Turkish boxer to join MVP and follows Nicolson as the second addition produced by the promotion’s agreement with Matchroom.
Turhan believes the partnership can push her toward more championship opportunities.

Her next opponent has yet to be confirmed, but her ambitions reach beyond defending the IBF belt.

That pursuit creates an obvious pressure point at lightweight. Dubois controls two belts, Han holds another and Turhan carries the IBF championship.
If MVP eventually matches its lightweight champions, Turhan will have to establish her pressure against fighters capable of controlling distance, countering her entries and punishing her on the way inside.
