The 2025-26 Awards Ceremony for the Basketball Champions League Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL, additionally served as a grand celebration of a decade of excellence on Friday. Nestled between the Semifinals and the championship clash between AEK and Rytas at the Palau Municipal d’Esports de Badalona, the event honored the individuals who have defined the league’s history.
Before the seasonal honors were distributed, the league marked its tenth anniversary by unveiling the prestigious Team of the Decade. Interestingly, Eurohoops had presented its own picks for the All-Decade Team in early March, successfully matching four out of the five eventual official selections.
The official Team of the Decade First Team featured legends Giorgi Shermadini, Vojtech Hruban, Kendrick Perry, Kevin Punter, and Marcelinho Huertas, while the Second Team recognized Joe Ragland, Vitor Benite, Levi Randolph, Tim Abromaitis, and Dejan Kravic.
A special spotlight was reserved for Txus Vidorreta, named Coach of the Decade, and Pierre-Antoine Gillet, who was honored as the only athlete to compete in all ten seasons of the league’s history.
These winners were determined through a comprehensive voting process involving clubs, players, coaches, media, fans, and the BCL organization itself.
