HARRY KANE has been mocked by Augsburg after Bayern Munich lost their first Bundesliga game of the campaign in SHOCK fashion.

The England captain, 32, failed to net as Vincent Kompany‘s side were defeated for the first time in the league this term, ending a 28-game unbeaten run in the competition dating back to March last year.

Despite taking five shots across the match at the Allianz Arena, Kane could not inspire his team to victory and instead saw their lead at the top narrowed to eight points.

It is still an imposing gap over Borussia Dortmund but Augsburg were not about to miss a chance to have a pop at Kane.

Posting to X (formerly Twitter) at full-time, the 13th-place club uploaded an image of a fake text exchange, digging Kane out.

In the picture, one person asks: “what time are you coming?”

Augsburg reply with a picture of Kane.

The first messenger says: “wtf [what the f***] does that mean”.

Responding again, Augsburg explain: “it means i’m not showing up”.

The post had over 38,000 likes and 3,500 reposts within four hours of full-time, going viral.

Taking the risk to go all in on a player with 34 goals in all competitions certainly paid off.

It will come as immensely frustrating for Bayern after they had taken the lead through defender Hiroki Ito only for two goals in six minutes late on to condemn them to a shock result.

He had five shots but only managed two on target in the game

The visitors had more shots (16-15) than Bayern and the same number on target (six) as they locked in one of the season’s biggest surprises.

Arsenal have been the only other team to beat Bayern this term, doing so 3-1 in the Champions League group phase in November.

Kompany’s men have been tipped as one of the favourites to win the competition, such is their dominance and impressive nature.

Kane has spearheaded that throughout, bagging 21 times in 19 league games with four assists.

He has another seven in seven in Europe and five from three matches in the German Cup.

This was only the sixth time he had failed to score in a domestic fixture this season but wasn’t for the want of trying.

Kane’s shooting boots were missing as he only tested the keeper twice from five attempts, four of those coming just outside the six-yard box.

Two were blocked and he managed just 33 touches across the 95 minutes in which both teams hit the woodwork.

He was limited to five touches in the Augsburg box as Bayern were humbled in their own back yard.
