Former “WWE NXT” star Von Wagner, now going by his real name, Cal Bloom, will make his debut for All Japan Pro Wrestling next month, the company announced Tuesday. It will be the first appearance in Japan for Bloom, a second-generation star, the son of Wayne Bloom, better known as Beau Beverly in the early 90s.
A video posted to AJPW’s Twitter (formerly X) account on Tuesday showed HAVOC members Oddyssey, Shotaro Ashino, and Xyon calling Bloom, where the former “NXT” talent revealed he’d be joining the stable. According to APJW’s website, he will debut at the Founding Anniversary Series 2026 on October 22 at Korakuen Hall.
It was not revealed if Bloom will be wrestling a singles match at the event, or if he’ll be teaming up with one or more members of HAVOC. Bloom’s most recent match occurred on March 14 in a victory over Lord Crewe at World Classic Professional Big Time Wrestling.

Following his college football career at the University of Central Florida, Bloom signed with WWE in March 2019. He made his in-ring debut at a live event that May. He debuted as Von Wagner on “NXT” television on September 2021 in a match for the then-vacant NXT Championship against LA Knight, Pete Dunne and Tommaso Ciampa.
His final match for “NXT” came on an April 2024 edition of the show, where he lost to Lexis King. He was released from WWE a few weeks later. He returned to the independent scene in March 2025, and even made a brief cameo on “AEW Dynamite” as a security guard. Bloom wrestled for ROH in April 2025 alongside Deonn Rusman in a loss to Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona.
