FORGOTTEN West Ham star James Ward-Prowse is attracting interest from fellow relegation rivals Burnley.
Midfielder Ward-Prowse, who has 11 caps and two goals for England, has not been in a single Hammers squad under Nuno Espirito Santo.
JWP does not feature in the Portuguese’s plans and has often trained alone, though he has not been put in a bomb squad of unwanted players.
He used to take part in full 11-vs-11 training games between the first team and fringe players, but is now no longer part of those.
SunSport understands Scott Parker’s Clarets are considering making a loan move to end the former Southampton man’s hell in East London, though an approach is yet to be made.
Whether West Ham would entertain offloading a player to a club that is also fighting the drop remains to be seen.

Burnley are 19th on 13 points – eight from safety – while the Irons are just one point ahead of them, also in the bottom three.
Nuno is under huge pressure going into this weekend’s trip to his old club Tottenham, which has been branded ‘El Sackico’ by former Spurs boss Tim Sherwood given the heat on Thomas Frank.
A change in the dugout at West Ham could, of course, change things for Ward-Prowse.
Though the Irons appear to be backing Nuno, having signed strikers Valentin Castellanos and Pablo Felipe this month, as well as appointing the Portuguese’s former team-mate Paco Jemez as first-team coach.
What is clear is that Ward-Prowse, who joined from Saints for £30million in 2023, has no future under Nuno.
The 31-year-old had his season-long loan spell at Nottingham Forest cut short by Nuno when the pair were at the Tricky Trees and has not considered him at all this term.
It is believed there has been some internal frustration at West Ham that the Portuguese has not given Ward-Prowse another chance, with the ace behaving impeccably in isolation.
Even Nuno conceded: “It’s just decisions and I’ve been honest with all the players.
“All the players are committed and working hard. It’s not an easy situation, but believe, me, making the squad and deciding is tough.
“But we decide for the best. He’s been very professional and very good.”
