The FIBA World Cup 2027 European Qualifiers second round started this Sunday with the games from groups A to D.

Turkey got their second win after defeating Switzerland 60-85. The 2025 Eurobasket silver medalists are now 2-0, like Serbia after defeating Bosnia-Herzegovina. 

In Group A, Ukraine and Spain are also tied with a 2-0 record: Ukraine defeated Denmark 88-71 thanks to Oleksand Kovliar’s 28 points and Spain had no problem defeating Georgia 94-61.

Greece is leading Group B after jumping to a 2-0 balance thanks to its victory 68-76 against Portugal, which is now 1-1. In the other game of the group, Montenegro defeated Romania 75-80.

And in Group D, we have a four-way tie. Great Britain got its first win of the qualifiers after defeating Iceland 84-90, while Italy also got the first ‘W’ after emerging victorious in a wild ending against Lithuania.
