Barcelona, PSG and Newcastle may yet face the Gunners in that round.
And like Chelsea, City could face all of the above in the final – as well as Sporting Lisbon, who they can only face then too.
Interestingly, Liverpool and Tottenham have the same potential draw after their respective third and fourth-place group finishes.
It means they can’t face each other until the final in Budapest.
But until then, either side could take on one of Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Club Brugge or Galatasaray in the last 16.
The quarters would throw up a clash against either Chelsea, Barcelona, PSG or Newcastle.
And the semis see Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Man City and Sporting Lisbon lined up – as well as Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
Like the previous English sides mentioned, all of the above are also potential opponents for Liverpool and Spurs in the final.
Finally, Newcastle face a longer route to Hungary as they must first get through the playoffs.
Toon will face either Monaco or Qarabag, which will set up a last-16 tie against one of Chelsea or Barcelona.
It means an all-English bout against Spurs or Liverpool awaits in the quarters.
