GOAL monster Erling Haaland had meatballs at a tiny cafe — sparking a stampede which saw them selling 30kg a day.

The Manchester City star, 25, wandered in to the eatery in his native Norway out of the blue one Sunday.

To their astonishment, the 6ft 5in striker ordered double portions of their towering plates of meatballs, and scoffed the lot.

“He’s a big man who needs a lot of food.”

After they posted news of his mega meal online, fans flocked there asking for “The Haaland Meatballs”.

Jette said: “Sales exploded.

“We were frying 30 kilos of meatballs a day – they just flew out the door.

“Now the meatballs are almost their own brand.”  

Grub-loving Haaland last year launched his own YouTube food channel. 

Last week Haaland apologised for Manchester City’s “embarrassing” Champions League loss to minnows Bodo/Glimt.

The Norway star had a night to forget as his return to his homeland turned sour and left City’s hopes of automatic qualification on a knife-edge.
