A FORMER Premier League star has left footie fans dumbfounded with his hairstyle.
For decades, footballers have been chopping and changing their looks keep up with fashion trends or embrace a new culture.
And that’s exactly what former Brentford, Brighton and Everton ace Neal Maupay has done.
Maupay, 29, is now plying his trade in France with Ligue 1 giants Marseille.
And the Frenchman has ditched the buzz cut he’s long been known for in favour of long locks.
Premier League fans were left aghast by Maupay’s new look, with one writing on X: “It’s taken me 2 hours to realise it’s Maupay.”

Maupay joined Marseille on loan from Everton in August 2024.
His transfer became permanent last July, with the Toffees pocketing £6million for his services.
Maupay has only made THREE appearances for Marseille this season, in which he’s scored one goal.
