Arman Tsarukyan continues his dominant showings outside of the UFC.

On Wednesday night, Tsarukyan squared off with former UFC flyweight Muhammad Mokaev in a submission-only grappling match in the main event of Hype Brazil at the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and things went well for the highly-ranked UFC lightweight.

Sporting an obvious size advantage, Tsarukyan dominated Mokaev, using his size and relentless pressure to break Mokaev down. Mokaev showed plenty of spirit, continually looking to re-guard and defend, but Tsarukyan never stopped attacking, finally making it to Mokaev’s back in the seventh minute of the bout. Tsarukyan quickly snuck in a rear-naked choke and squeezed, putting Mokaev to sleep to win the contest.

This is another win in Tsarukyan’s seemingly endless series of side quests. The 29-year old competed in five submission grappling bouts in 2025, and has already fought twice in RAF this year. After the bout, he thanked the UFC for allowing him to be so active and said that he hopes to fight for the UFC and BMF titles soon. Barring that, Tsarukyan said he’s happy to continue competing in Hype, calling for either Dillon Danis or Charles Oliveira.

Tsarukyan is not done yet, either; he rematches Georgio Poullas at RAF 7 later this month in Tampa, FL.
