LAS VEGAS — UFC middleweight turned light heavyweight contender Reinier de Ridder joins MMA Fighting’s José Youngs to discuss everything from his favorite television shows, musical acts, pet peeves, food, movies, and more.

De Ridder (21-4), a former two-division champion at ONE Championship, most recently came up short to Caio Borralho at UFC 326. This setback marked his second straight inside the octagon after being finished by Brendan Allen at UFC Vancouver in October.

The Dutch native is expected to move up to light heavyweight for his next fight.

“I came up a little short,” de Ridder said, addressing his teammates on Instagram. “I think it could have gone either way, but I’m happy that I got my body back, most importantly. I was able to go three hard rounds. I think I have a lot more to show.

“I brought you guys donuts because I need you guys heavy, I need you guys strong because I’m coming at 205 [pounds], baby.”
