MMA legend Amanda Nunes fired back at UFC Houston headliner Sean Strickland following his sexist comments on the official media day on Wednesday to promote his upcoming fight with Anthony Hernandez this Saturday.

Nunes, a former two-division UFC champion and member of the UFC Hall of Fame who plans on returning to the octagon later this year to challenge two-time Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison for the 135-pound belt, shared a post with Strickland’s recent comments, in which the one-time UFC middleweight titleholder says nobody cares about women’s MMA, adding that women “cook, they clean … [but] we’ve empowered them too much to ruin society.”

“We do everything he said, and to top it all off, LOL, we’re fighters too,” Nunes wrote on Instagram.

Nunes added a final message in Portuguese: “Don’t cry, man.”

The comment section was filled with replies from fellow fighters. Luana Pinheiro wrote that Strickland “only talks crap,” and Amanda Ribas added “he defecates through his mouth.”

“Poor guy, pathetic,” MMA pioneer Ana Maria “India” wrote. “The male fragility in the face of strong women is almost pitiful. This comment shows how much he diminishes himself in the presence of strong, determined women. It must be some kind of unhealed childhood trauma.”
