AEW star and professional wrestling veteran Jeff Jarrett has been through a lot in his life, from losing his first wife to breast cancer, to the saga of founding TNA, then being let go by Dixie Carter, to his struggles with alcohol, to his relationship with his wife, Kurt Angle’s ex-wife, Karen, and the struggles they faced together at the beginning of their relationship. Jarrett’s life, specifically, his time with TNA, was recently outlined in a three-episode special to kick off the latest season of “Dark Side of the Ring.”

On a recent episode of his “My World” podcast, Jarrett told co-host Conrad Thompson that during a recent interview, he was asked by a reporter what he would go back and tell his younger self. He said it’s something he’s been pondering ever since.

“It kind of keeps ringing through my brain. Like, ‘Okay. Where did all that come from?'” Jarrett said. “But I think just the sum total of my life experiencing being my dad being a mentor, but also a dad. Also, me in recovery, but one thing that 50-year-old Jeff would tell 18-year-old Jeff is, ‘Hey, embrace love. Relish the valleys of life, because they are the ones that create the mountaintops.”

The 59-year-old has slowed down in the ring, with his most recent match taking place ahead of “AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam Mexico,” where he wrestled a dark match alongside Brillante Jr., Mascara Dorada, Orange Cassidy, and Roderick Strong. He wrestled two other matches in 2026, for 1 Fall Wrestling. In AEW, Jarrett serves mainly as a pre-show analyst on Zero Hour ahead of pay-per-views, alongside Renee Paquette and RJ City.
